Converse / JD Sports created a collaborative online presence with 'Pro Streets'.
Various European city districts with a background in sports and street culture were selected as locations for Pro Streets, a space which documents the best tricks and talents of people in their locality. An area is delineated by the Converse Star/Chevron logo on the ground, above which is a camera recording the action. An individual would send a text message to a special number and the wait for their cue, shortly after which the camera rolls for 30 seconds.Their moment is then uploaded automatically to the Pro Streets website, in which others can view and vote for their favourite moves.
The brief for the project was to create a series of adapted Star/Chevron logos, each of which is specific to one of the chosen areas. Each logo needed to differ in style to create a variation of themes and colours across the site, whilst also capturing a geographical or cultural feature of
